WESLACO - After fighting for a fourth seed in the playoffs on Tuesday, Weslaco High fell tonight against PSJA High 7-2.

The Panthers scored their first run of the game off a sack fly from Omar Gutierrez to bring in Dylan De Leon. Their second run came off a double by AB Castro to bring in Aaron Burciaga.

"We needed more timelier hitting," said Tim Serna. "Everything else was perfect expect for one pitch that got a way for a homerun and all the momentum shifted."

"Tommarow we need to have good clutch and consistent hitting with good pitching," said Serna.

Game 2 of the series will be on Saturday morning at 11AM in San Juan, TX. If the Panthers win, they will play game 3 at 3PM to determine the winner of the series and who will advance to the next round.
