Hello Panther / Wildcat fans,

I'm Joshua Jurado with Weslaco Sports and I am glad to bring this site in for the city of Weslaco to inform our community. During the 2008-09 school year (first year), I've covered many games, wrote articles, and interviewed many of our great athletes. I have enjoyed this past year and I hope this next school year is as great as the last.

Throughout the year, I was able to get know many of the athletes, know their names by memory and let them know there is someone out there who cares a lot about Weslaco athletics. I believe that this is a great start in what I'm planning to major in.

During the 2008-09 school year, I enjoyed covering Weslaco East girls soccer. I think coach Adriel Martinez and his assistant coaches are great. Martinez and the Lady Wildcats should have more winning seasons for the years to come.

My age is 16 years old and I currently attend Weslaco East High School. I am an incoming junior for the upcoming 2009-10 school year.

I plan to graduate from college in Journalism and Communications.

I hope that over the years to come, that this site will become bigger and the best high school sports website in the state of Texas.

Right now I am still planning for Weslaco Sports THE MAGAZINE that will be coming out soon. I also plan to bring this into a business in about 10 years from now.
